History

William Charles Cook was born in 1852 in Birmingham, England, and by 1901, he lived with his wife Phoebe in Bathgate, Pembina Co., North Dakota, and their four children. They were in fellowship with the exclusive brethren which in 1909 became Tunbridge Wells exclusives. William and his family either broke bread in their home, or there was also an exclusive assembly meeting in Cavalier at the time, as well as brethren residing at Hensel that they may have met with.

Prior to 1901, there were families in the county from Crystal, St. Thomas, Tongue River, and Walhalla in fellowship with one another, as well as in nearby Walsh County in Edinburg, Fairdale, Grafton, Nash, and Park River. By the early 1910's when William and Phoebe died, the Cook family had relocated to Seattle, Washington where they were presumably in fellowship with the meeting room there.
