Dorothy Lillian Sherrard Baker Carter

She was born Dorothy Lillian Sherrard to Robert Andrew Sherrard and Elizabeth Anne Houghton Sherrard on Aug. 12, 1921 in Highland Park, Michigan, and moving to Detroit.

Marriage

Dorothy first married Glenn William Baker, a salesman, at an unknown date. Glenn was born Dec. 29, 1924 in Merlin, Ontario, Canada to George Ernest Baker and Hazel Christina Jones Baker.

He made a profession of faith in 1939 at the age of 15, and was in fellowship in Chatham and Detroit. At the age of 28, Glenn died Nov. 17, 1952 in a car accident when another driver crashed into the rear of his car. "He left a good testimony and definite impressions upon the nurses in his last hours", according to an obit in Truth & Tidings.

Dorothy was remarried on March 8, 1957 to Robert L. Carter (b. 1927) in Los Angeles, CA.

Death

Dorothy passed away in Orange, California on Feb. 24, 2006.
