Flora Munro was the daughter of [[George Munro|George]] and [[Margaret Leitch Johnson Munro]].  She was born in 1879 in Forest, Ontario, and raised Brethren.  In Toronto, on October 7, 1909, she married [[William John Hawthorne]], a carpenter.  They had a daughter [[Margaret Hawthorne]] on March 12, 1911 while living in Toronto, with Dr. E.F. Lucas attending.  Their daughter never married.
