Dothan Meeting Room was an assembly affiliated with the Tunbridge Wells Brethren that was represented from ca. 1944-1951 by June Dorthine Wagner, wife of Col. Richard Laverne LaBolle (1907-1982). They were married in Dec. 29, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois which may be where he was introduced to the Brethren thru the Chicago Meeting Room. June was born in Chicago on June 6, 1912, the daughter of Henry George Wagner (b. July 14, 1889 Chicago), who married Delora Doris Friend Wagner on May 22, 1911. Henry was working in the refrigeration industry in Monrovia, California by 1935, and died there in April of 1977. Delora was born around in 1895 in Washington, Pennsylvania.

Richard Laverne LaBolle

Richard was born in Butler, Pennsylvania, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA while living in Portersville, PA. By 1935, he was stationed in Atlanta, Georgia, and in 1940 in Perris, Riverside, California. He was the son of August Emil LaBolle (1869-1941) and Cora Belle Duncan LaBolle (1884-1965). August was born in France, Cora in PA, Pennsylvania, married at Grace Lutheran Church in Butler, PA. Both parents were buried in the Portersville Bible Church cemetery.

      • George was also born in Loda, but lived a few years in Wall, Illinois. Nell was born in Jonesville, Kentucky, but died in Paxton, Illinois (where there was an assembly in the early 1900's). George's parents:
        • Francois LaBolle Sr. (1826-1908) and his wife Mary Jane Cavenaugh LaBolle (1831-1904). Francois was born in France, and died in Loda. Mary Jane was born in Ireland.


Richard had two siblings:

  • Patrica Joyce LaBolle Bachman (1931-1999) was born in St. Anne, IL, married Alvin Alfred Bachman (1925-2002), who was born in Howard, South Dakota, and they lived in Strawberry Point, Iowa in their later years.
  • Donald H. LaBolle (b. 1937)
