Six Evangelists Coming to Hawthorne This Summer "Last Saturday the Hawthorne Gospel Mission had its gospel tent erected. It is in the same place as last year, on Lafayette avenue just north of Diamond Bridge avenue. The seats and lighting equipment are being installed this week, as well as a completely curtain of mosquito netting. Everything is expected to be in readiness for the grand opening this Sunday afternoon.

Shortly after the close of last year's campaign the mission began to arrange for this summer and, because of their early planning, they have been able to secure six of the finest evangelists in the country. The following is the program for the summer as the mission has announced it:

The first two weeks: James McKendrick, the noted Scotch evangelist, who, through his long life, has preached in every part of the English-speaking world.

The third week: H.C. Hartranft, a Bible-teaching evangelist. He has been a missionary to the Indians of the far west for eighteen years.

The fourth and fifth weeks: Garnet Evelyn Thomas, one of those tireless Pilgrim Preachers who have carried the Gospel to every corner of the British Isles.

The sixth and seventh weeks: Allen S. Wheatcroft, pastor of a Baptist church in Philadelphia, and a man with a wonderfully clear knowledge of the Bible message.

The eighth, ninth and tenth weeks: B.M. Nottage. No introduction is necessary for him. He was one of last year's tent speakers. At present he is engaged in a nation-wide ministry.

The final week, the first week in September, the speaker will be Louis Talbot, a Presbyterian minister from Hamilton, Ontario. He is coming to Hawthorne especially for the last five days of the tent meetings. He is known chiefly throughout the middle west where he has preached to congregations numbering thousands.

The Hawthorne Gospel Mission believes that by the goodness of God it has been able to arrange a program which should attract everyone in Hawthorne, without any exceptions. Every man on the list is a true believer in the old-fashioned Gospel and preaches it heartily.

Meetings will be held every evening beginning at 7:45 o'clock, except on Saturday evenings. Also on Sunday afternoons at 3:30 o'clock, a service will be held. Special music, both vocal and instrumental, is being arranged so that at every service there will be something different. The mission band will accompany the singing at all the services.

The mission wishes to use this means to invite the people of Hawthorne to attend.
