History

In 1861, there was a Tennent family living in North Norwich, Oxford, Ontario, Canada that identified as Plymouth Brethren. John Tennent (b. 1819) was a local merchant, and with his wife Anna (b. 1832), were both born in England. They had at least three children: Robert Tennent (b. 1856), John Tennent, Jr. (b. 1858), and Jessie Tennent (b. 1860), all born in Canada.
