Cora's sister Edith Lucille Smith (1925-2015) married Alvin James Brainerd (b. 1920 Chesaning, Saginaw, MI - d. 1998 Grayling, Crawford, MI), who was a descendant of Daniel Brainerd (b. 1641 Braintree, Essex, England - d. 1715 Haddam, Middlesex, CT whose son Hezekiah Brainerd (1681-1727) was the father of the renowned David Brainerd (b. 1718 Haddam, CT - d. 1747 Northampton, Hampshire, MA whose exemplary evangelistic work among the Lenape indigenous people of New Jersey served as a notable inspiration towards pioneer missionaries Jim Elliot and William Carey.

Daniel Brainerd was among the founders of Haddam, CT in 1662 as one of the earliest church deacons, justice of the peace, and many other offices. He emigrated to the U.S. from England about 1649, settling initially in Hartford, CT with a Wyllys family. In Haddam it is alleged that he initially resided in a cave, but subsequently was the largest landowner there.

Lentz (b. 1870 Bay Co., MI - d. 1932 Standish, MI) & Ruth Adelaide Elwell Lentz (b. 1876 Otisville, Genessee, MI - d. 1957 Standish, MI). Wallace & Oline's wedding was officiated by Rev. Riemer of Mt. Olive Lutheran of Standish.
  • Helen Oline Chartier Lentz +1963-1966+ (b. 1917 Roulette, Potter, PA; m. 1938 Flint, Genesee, MI; d. 1992 Orange Co., CA), daughter of Frank L. Chartier (b. 1870 Fair Haven, St. Clair, MI - d. 1949 Flint, MI) & Margaret Leona Mitchell Chartier (b. 1878 Port Allegany, McKean, PA - d. 1926 Flint, MI).
