Mr. E. S. Lyman was a principal partisan in the Montreal Division of 1884 which resulted in the creation of the Grant party. He travelled widely throughout eastern Canada in the defense and propagation of the particular beliefs of that party and was influential in the establishing of Grant assemblies in Quebec’s Gaspé peninsula.
