Assemblée Chrétienne de Saint-Boniface, Saint-Boniface, Maskinongé, Central Quebec, Canada was a French open brethren assembly begun by Denis Legendre of Grand'mere around 2003 that existed thru at least 2004.
Denis Legendre's parents were among the first in nearby Shawinigan to trust the Lord. They had seven children and cottage meetings were often held in their small apartment. Later Mr. Legendre often took a gospel meeting; he was a forceful speaker. At the age of forty the Lord took him home after a year of terrible suffering from cancer.
His son, Denis, eventually became an elder in the Shawinigan assembly, a most conscientious man who took most of the responsibility for its wellbeing, especially after the departure of commended worker Joseph Darling . A split in the Shawinigan assembly in the fall of 2001 led to the eventual departure of Denis along with the more conservative element and the beginning of the work at Saint-Boniface.
