Wayne Edward Lipe was born Sept. 29, 1917 in Witt, Montgomery, Illinois, which was the site of the TW Witt Meeting Room from 1914-1999. His parents were Glen Lipe (b. 1893 Irving, Montgomery, IL - d. 1955 Montgomery Cy., IL) & Mira L. Compton Lipe (b. 1896 Witt, Montgomery, IL - d. 1948 Montgomery Cy., IL). Crowder Neidhardt (b. 1895 OK - d. 1973 Granite City, Madison, IL). Arthur was employed in 1920 in Haileyville as a railroad car inspector.
In 1963, their son Jerry Leroy Lipe was married in East Alton.
Death
Wayne died on May 3, 1975 in Bethalto, Madison, Illinois, and his wife Capitola succeeded him in 1997 in Alton, Illinois, and was buried in Bethalto.
