Herron family

In 1958-1959 and 1976, the Herron family resided in Wichita, Kansas. In 1981, they relocated back to Denton where they may still reside.

• Bobby Joe Herron +1966-1973+ (b. 1932 Prairie, Searcy, AR), son of Everett Scott Herron (b. 1884 Hindsboro, Douglas, IL - d. 1968 Pindall, Searcy, AR) & Grace E. McDougal Herron (b. 1894 Prairie, Newton, AR - d. 1968 Searcy Co., AR).
• Dolores Elida Arriaga Herron (b. 1932 Del Rio, Val Verde, TX), daughter of Manuel Angeles Arriaga (b. 1900 Mexico - d. 1941 Del Rio, TX) & Libranda Chapa Escamilla Arriaga (b. 1897/1899 Sabinas Hidalgo, Vallecillo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico - d. 1981 Del Rio, TX). In 1930, Manuel was self-employed in Del Rio as a tailor.

Langford family

Isaac Langford was employed in 1880 as a farmer near Denton, he and Jane were married in 1850 at Ottawa, ON, officiated by a Scotch Baptist minister named John Edwards, and witnessed by William Edwards, John Kerr, and Richard Woodley. One of John Edwards' early assistants, John Gilmour (b. 1792 Ayr, Scot. - d. 1869 Peterborough, ON), founded the first Canadian Baptist bible college, Canadian Baptist College, (1838-1849) in Montreal, as well as three churches in Peterborough, Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church, Selwyn Outreach Centre, and Murray Street Baptist Church. He was also the first president of the Canadian Baptist Union. See bio article of John Gilmour.

In 1880, seven of their ten children were still living on the farm: Edwin, Alice, Ernest, Agnes, Jessie, Amy and Harlin. It is unknown whether Isaac Langford was in fellowship with the exclusives, as only Jane was listed 1878-1879 in the meeting list. Jane was registered as PB in the 1871 Census while living in Clarence Twp., Russell, Ontario, while her husband was listed as Baptist. Their eldest daughter Anna was also PB that year, employed as a schoolteacher, as was their daughter Serena, and the rest of the children were registered as Baptists. In 1861, the entire family was registered as Baptist. In Clarence, Ontario in 1878 (until after 1896) there was a exclusive PB assembly with a correspondent of John Ramage, Sr., as assumed to have been such as early as 1871, as per the censuses. Isaac died in Bolivar, Denton, TX in 1892, and Jane in 1907 in Sherman, TX. It may be notable that F.R. Griffith resided in Sherman in 1903, in fellowship. In 1900, Jane was living at 49 S. Travis St., in Sherman, with her daughters Jessie, Amy, and granddaughter Eula Sinclair.

• Isaac Hilton Langford (b. 1823 Frome, Somerset, England - d. 1892 Bolivar, Denton, TX), a son of George Langford (1794-1831 Frome, Eng.) & Sarah Burgess Langford (b. 1795 Frome, Eng. - d. 1832 Hamilton, ON). Sarah's parents (William & Mary Mayes Burgess) were in fellowship at the time of Sarah's birth with an independent chapel. Isaac was baptized on July 27, 1823 at the Rook Lane Chapel on Bath Street in Frome, which was a nonconformist chapel built in 1707 by James Pope that folded in 1968, and was renovated into a performance venue. • Jane Mary Helen Kerr Langford +1871/+1878-1879+ (b. 1832 Trois-Rivieres, QC - d. 1907 Sherman, Grayson, TX). Daughter of James H. & Harriet Kerr. Jane was baptized at Trois-Rivieres in a Protestant church.
