Oakland Gospel Hall was founded ca. 1887, and met at 475 Sixth Street in Oakland (presently at or near the Oakland Police Station) as an open brethren assembly, possibly by Donald Ross. By 1893, there was a separate assembly meeting at Brush & Seventh Sts., as well as one at 1064 Market St. by 1900, and 453 Eight St. by 1902.
