Woodstock Meeting Room was founded prior to 1845 in Woodstock, Ontario, and comprised that year of Joseph Medlicott Scriven and some friends. About 1852, Scriven relocated to Brantford Meeting Room where he remained around three years, and composed his first draft of "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". In 1880 there was no meeting, but George Hill was a contact (1846-1905), employed as a baker.
