** Our Record (OR) 1929-3: "Ubly, Mich. - Beatrice, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Codling, was buried from the Gospel Hall here in January. Brn. Govan and W. Ferguson took the funeral. Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved parents."
 
  
** OR 1931-10: "Ubly, Mich. - Thomas Codling went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 22. Was saved in [[Canada]] 53 years ago (1878) and in fellowship with saints in Ubly for over 50 years. A quiet, godly man, whose presence in the small assembly will be missed. Leaves a grown-up family, the most of whom are unsaved. Funeral was conducted by Brn. Alex. McDonald, Geo. Smith and John Govan. A large company filled the house."
