Edward emigrated from England, he was initially with the CoE, he was baptized Aug. 8, 1843 at the CoE church in Coltishall, and joined with the OB, presumably in Norfolk.

In 1861, Edward was residing in London, England, working as a servant for George Dickinson (b. 1805 St. Paul, Covent Garden, London, Eng. - d. 1861 St. James, St. Pancras, Camden, Eng.) & Rebecca Herring Harmsworth-Dickinson (b. 1815 Southwark, Surrey, Eng.), their daughter Rebecca C.
