AA 1949-5: With Christ - Toronto, Ont. - "Elizabeth Cather was taken home on April 18, 1949 in her 69th year. Saved at the age of twelve when walking through Australian bush and hearing a brother quote: 'Payment God will not twice demand; First at my bleeding Surety's hand, and then again at mine.' Formerly in assembly fellowship in Hamilton, Scotland. Last 37 years in Toronto, Canada (Swanwick and Broadview Assemblies). Greatly interested in the Sunday School work, Tract distribution, and Missionary activity."

Garratt family

L&L 1959-1: With the Lord: "Mrs. Margaret Campbell Garratt of Toronto, Ontario, passed away to be with the Lord in her seventy-fifth year. She was in fellowship with the Danforth Gospel Hall assembly (formerly Swanwick Avenue) in 1908. On June 14, 1941?, she and her husband sailed for Scotland. The first World War broke out shortly after, and they were unable to return to Canada till June, 1920. During their stay in Scotland, her husband was commended to the Lord's work. On their return to Canada they made their home in Collingwood, Ontario, for three years, and then moved to Foxmead, Ontario, where Mr. Garratt passed away in 1940. Mrs. Garratt was also associated with the Birchcliff Assembly for a short time. Two years ago she entered the Elim Homes in Waubaushene, and after a short illness she passed away on November 18. The funeral service was held in Orillia, being conducted by Tom Erwin and James Gunn. She was buried in Orillia."

OR 1931-2: Gone Home: Toronto, Ont. "On Nov. 25 our young brother, Wilfred Hibbins, at the age of 25 years, went home to be with Christ. He was a great sufferer but is now at rest. An active worker in Swanwick Assembly, he will be missed there. He leaves a young wife. Funeral service was taken by Brn. Hynd, Littleproud and Joyce." The entire Hibbins family was registered PB in 1931.

OR 1933-4: Gone Home: Toronto, Canada: "On February 23rd, after a long sickness, Mrs. Christina Hynd, widow of the late Peter Hynd, Troon, Scotland, fell peacefully asleep in Jesus; aged 81 years. Saved 64 years ago and associated with the assemblies for 63 years. The funeral service in Swanwick Gospel Hall was conducted by J.R. Littleproud."

McClelland family

L&L 1959-7: With the Lord: "Mrs. Elizabeth McClelland of Toronto, Ont., passed away on May 22, in her 76th year. Our sister was saved in Burbank, Scotland, 58 years ago, and gathered with the saints there shortly thereafter. She came to Canada in 1929, and fellowshipped with the saints in Swanwick Assembly for twelve years, and for the past eighteen years in Central Assembly. She was the beloved mother of John McClelland of Brazil and of Alex. McClelland, formerly of Angola. She has been a faithful sister in the assembly, her presence will be sorely missed. The funeral service was taken by James Irwin."

Montroy family

L&L 1959-5: With the Lord: "Mrs. Robert H. Montroy went to be with the Lord on March 9, at the age of 87, at Waubaushene, Ontario. She was saved at the age of 27 in Toronto, Ontario, and was baptized by the late Robert McClintock at Broadview Gospel Hall, Toronto, where she was in fellowship for many years. Both she and her husband were in fellowship for some years at the Swanwick Avenue Assembly, now Danforth. Latterly she was confined to the home at Waubaushene, Ont. Her daughter, Winnifred Mary, and her husband Robert Henry preceded her. She leaves a son Harold of Short Hills, New Jersey."

OR 1929-3: Gone Home: Toronto, Ont. "Mrs. Peter Pollock of the Swanwick Avenue Assembly passed into the presence of the Lord, aged 43 years, after a prolonged illness. Saved in Scotland twenty-two years ago and associated with the Assemblies since then until now. Brn. Robert Telfer and Stewart conducted the funeral services."

L&L 1959-3: With the Lord: "Mrs. Emily Reid of Toronto, Ontario, passed away to be with the Lord in her 80th year. She was in fellowship with the Danforth Gospel Hall assembly (formerly Swanwick Avenue) since April 1947. Her husband pre-deceased her in November 1946. The funeral service was held at the Ingram Funeral Home, and was conducted by Mr. Henry Fletcher who spoke a word of comfort to the bereaved, and a word of warning to those without Christ as Savior."

L&L 1959-3: With the Lord: "Mrs. Elizabeth A. Roy of Toronto, Ont., went to be with the Lord on January 29, at the age of 81 years. Saved sixty-two years ago under the preaching of Alexander Marshall in Bolton, England, she became associated with the assembly there where she continued for years. On coming to Canada, our sister, with her husband, the late Job Roy, served the Lord in assemblies in Brandon, Manitoba; Galt and Toronto, Ontario, first in Broadview Avenue assembly, and for the past thirty years in the Danforth assembly (formerly Swanwick)."

L&L 1943-6: With the Lord: "Henrietta Taylor, Toronto, Canada, beloved wife of the late John William Taylor, went home to be with Christ, Lord's day, May 9, 1943. In her 94th year, she was saved 54 years ago and has been in happy fellowship with the Christians at Broadview, Swanwick and for the past 12 years at Central. She leaves to mourn her loss 4 daughters, a son, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Ernest Turnbull and Brother Jackson spake."
