In 1880, William Sr. was employed as a linen merchant, residing at 242 Paulison Ave., Passaic, of which its closest location is a residential headquarters for the Passaic Dental Associates, currently a block from the public library and a local high school. William's wife Mary was employed as a housekeeper.
William's son, Dr. Henry Alexander Gribbon, studied at Pennington Seminary (founded in 1838 by Methodist Episcopals with support of Presybterians), Pratt Institute in Brooklyn (founded in 1887) & NYU's College of Medicine (founded in 1841 as per Wikipedia). He graduated the latter in 1899, setting up an allopathic practice that year in Poughkeepsie at what is now the Vassar Bros. Medical Center (owned by Nuvance Health) that has served the Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. In 1902, he resided in Jersey City. In 1915, he was an assistant surgeon at Vassar.
Henry's wife Emily's father, Eldred Griffith, was employed until 1884 in Charlotte as the city cotton weigher. Emily was a granddaughter of Corp. John Morgan Rawlinson (b. 1831 Richland Co., SC - d. 1921 Charlotte, NC) & Frances Elizabeth Kellingsworth Rawlinson (b. 1835 Richland Co., SC; m. 1851; d. 1896 York, SC). From +1860-1881, John Rawlinson owned a hotel in Yorkville, commuting 1855-1867 from his plantation 7 miles east. In 1900, John owned a grocery store. He was credited in his obit as a "South Carolina planter", and a ruling elder of the Presby. church since "early manhood". John & Frances resided 1851-1855 at Spring Place, Murray, GA.
Frances was remembered in Yorkville in her fine obit as having done "numerous deeds of charity, kindness and sympathy... best known as a practical Christian, in whose tender heart welled a perpetual fountain of love for all her fellow creatures. Before her own health gave away, and ever afterward, when she could, it was the greatest pleasure of her life to minister to the sick of the community and to dissipate sorrow and distress with happiness and joy. It was this side of her beautiful character that has left an influence in Yorkville that will endure for generations to come."

Armagh, N.I. - d. 1925), son of John Greeves Malcomson (1831-1917 Belfast, N.I.) & Elizabeth Pim Jackson (b. 1837 Belfast, Antrim, N.I.; m. 1857 Belfast, N.I.; d. 1895 Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, near London, England).
