Manvel Bible Chapel is an open brethren assembly within the metro of Houston, Texas. It traces its roots back to first open assembly known as Houston Gospel Hall, which was founded in 1893 (possibly the first open assembly in Texas) by Joseph Jamison, an Irishman. It may have been planted in 1931, and met from +1936-1941+ in the home of C.C. Peters of Manvel. It subsequently met in a variety of locations until 1977 when it was at 7232 King Ave., and they constructed a new building in 2000 in nearby Pearland where it currently resides.
In October 12-14, 2021, this assembly hosted the annual national Workers and Elders Conference, with a theme of Knowing the Times, see Workers and Elders Conference for more detail, including free video and audio recordings.
