Frederick family

From +1910-1927+, this family resided at 1164 Philadelphia St., and was the first location of the assembly. In 1910, Lott was employed as a section foreman for the Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh (BR&P) Railway, which functioned 1885-1932, and succeeded by the Baltimore & Ohio (B&O) Railroad.

TIG 1930-10-6: Death Claims Many Residents: Indiana Center Township, Tunnelton, Saltsburg and Homewood Women Pass Away Over Week-End: Obituary Notes: "A heart condition from which she had been a sufferer for a number of years caused the death at 5:30 o'clock Sunday morning of Mrs. Margaret (Keslar) Frederick, 58, wife of Lott Frederick, at her home on West Philadelphia street. The death of Mrs. Frederick came as a sorrowful shock to her family and by the many friends who held her in the highest affection and esteem. She was essentially a homemaker and devoted her time to the comfort and well-being of her family and in kindly deeds in homes which needed Christian influence and assistance in times of stress. Her presence in the home and the community will be sadly missed.

The deceased was a daughter of Christopher and Jane (Weaver) Keslar, and was born in Jefferson county on Feb. 7, 1872. The family home was in Punxsutawney and Rossiter until 23 years ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and their family removed to Indiana, where they had since resided. She was a devoted Christian and held membership with the Gospel Hall congregation. Surviving are her husband and these children: Bessie, wife of Charles Lewis of Indiana and Ruth and Charles, at home. Three other children are deceased, two sons in infancy and a daughter, Martha, the wife of Kenneth McFarland, four years ago. She also leaves three grandchildren and these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Elizabeth Clayton of DuBois; Mrs. May Shealey of Brandenton, Fla.; William, Jacob, Abram and Harry Keslar, all of Punxsutawney. Funeral services will be conducted in her late residence at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and burial made in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Cloe, Pa."

• Margaret "Maggie" Kessler Frederick 1910-1930 (b. 1872 Young, Jefferson, PA - d. 1930 Indiana, PA); dau. of Christopher Kessler (b. 1829 Donegal Twp., Westmoreland, PA - d. Bell, Jefferson, PA) & Jane Weaver Kessler (b. 1833 PA - d. 1906 Bell, Jefferson, PA); Maggie's father was a veteran of the Civil War, of the 105th Regt., PA Infantry, Co. A, rank Private.

Irvin family

TIG 1930-9-10: Other Deaths: "James Jefferson Irvin, 43, of Lucerne, married and the father of several children, was fatally injured by a fall of rock in the mine of the Rochester & Pittsburgh Coal Company at Lucerne, at 10:30 yesterday morning. Mr. Irvin was loading coal when a large section of rock let go from the roof in the room where he was working, crushed him to the floor of the mine, and practically enveloped his head and body. When rescued by fellow workmen he was unconscious and it was realized at once he was fatally injured. He was removed to Indiana Hospital where he passed away at 1:15 yesterday afternoon, without regaining consciousness.

The deceased was 43 years old and was born Nov. 22, 1887, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Irvin, of Berwindale. He had lived for 12 years in this vicinity. He was a member of the Gospel Hall congregation, Indiana. The deceased leaves his widow, Mrs. Jennie Irvin and these children: Mrs. Beverly Irene Irvin Henry, Indiana; Mrs. Ruth Mildred Irvin Henry, Indiana; John, Howard, David, Billy and Robert, at home; two brothers, Alexander Irvin, Indiana, and Howard Irvin, of Clearfield county, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Woods, LaJose, and Mrs. Annie Troxell of New Washington, Pa. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at his late residence on Grant street in this city. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery." The story, reworded, was reported subsequently in several other Indiana-based newspapers on their front page.

Plubell family

TIG 1920-12-13: Death of Plubell Youth: "Death yesterday afternoon at the Indiana Hospital claimed R.J. Wilber (sic) Plubell, aged 13 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Plubell of Third and Olive streets. Death was due to a complication of diseases. He was a member of Robert Baird's Sunday School class for four years and was a faithful attendant. Besides his parents, he leaves these brothers and sisters: Charles, Arthur, Paul Perry, Mary, Myrtle and Martha. The body was taken to the home of the parents. Funeral services will be conducted at the Gospel Hall, 560 Philadelphia street, Tuesday afternoon at half past one o'clock. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery."

• Cameron "Cammie" Jule Plubell +1916-1920+ (b. 1873 Frenchville, Clearfield, PA - d. 1963 Indiana, PA), son of Frederick "Fred Plubell (b. 1838/1839 Frenchville, PA - d. 1921/1924 Covington, Clearfield, PA) & Harriet Fontenoy Plubell (1846-1893 Frenchville, PA). In 1920, Cammie was employed as a coal miner. Gordon N. Reager (Rosemont, PA) officiated his memorial, who was an OB evangelist.
• Effie Jane Conway Plubell +1916-1920+ (b. 1882 Clearfield Co., PA; m. 1898 Dubois, Clearfield, PA; d. 1965 White Twp., Indiana, PA), daughter of William Connelly & Mary Connelly.
