Windsor Star: "William Burton Dunn, 98, retired manager of the Leamington branch of the Royal Bank of Canada, died Thursday at the Catherine Wilson Nursing Home in Windsor. Mr. Dunn was born in West Flamborough Township, near Dundas, Ont., and lived in Windsor for the past 11 years at the Riverdale Manor Apartments.
He began his banking career with a private bank in Brantford, and by 1901 had moved to Rodney where he managed the S.B. Morris & Co. bank. In 1903, he opened a branch of the Union Bank of Canada in Mount Brydges, Ont., and in 1905 moved to Leamington where he opened another branch of the Union Bank. In 1925, the Union Bank was absorbed by the Royal Bank of Canada, and Mr. Dunn continued as manager until his retirement in 1936. In 1958 he moved to Windsor."
