Wortham Meeting Room, TX

Wortham Meeting Room is an Exclusive Brethren meeting with roots back to at least 1878, with a correspondent then of Seth Fuller. There were no correspondents listed between 1879-1900, but by 1901 Nelson Calame was serving in leadership, thru at least 1951. In 1909, the Wortham Meeting Room was part of the Tunbridge Wells split from the PBCC, with just Nelson Calame serving in leadership at the time of the split. The church building is presently being utilized by another evangelical group, but the McHargue family continues as area representatives, having served since 1949.
