History

Assemblée Chrétienne de Saint-Boniface, Saint-Boniface, Maskinongé, Central Quebec, Canada was a French open brethren assembly begun by Denis Legendre of Grand'mere around 2003 that existed thru at least 2004.

Denis Legendre's parents were among the first in  nearby Shawinigan to trust the Lord. They had seven children and  cottage meetings were often held in their small apartment. Later Mr. Legendre often took a gospel meeting; he was a forceful speaker. At the age of forty the Lord took him home after a year of terrible suffering from cancer.

His son, Denis, eventually became an elder in the Shawinigan assembly, a most conscientious man who took most of the responsibility for its wellbeing.  A split in the Shawinigan assembly in the fall of 2001 led to his eventual departure and the beginning of this one at Saint-Boniface.
