See Branches of Plymouth Brethren to explain abbreviation types (although in short: OB (& TW-P) are Halls & Chapels within the "open brethren" (although GH's (generally) maintain a separate network from the Chapels). EB/TW/TW-N are "Careful" Brethren (similar to OB Halls), and BC are (generally) independent community churches with early or indirect PB influence, and will (usually) not consider themselves "Brethren").  AA/CA refers to assemblies of African or Caribbean origin, or predominant demographic, although all ethnicities are overly welcome in any assemblies.

The above primer link expands on the abbreviations, and also contains introduction to this (and other) sheets within the overall History. There have been scores of branches with their own distinctive networks and strengths within the history of the PB, and many branches continue to flourish today, and while no assembly or gathering is identical to the others, each is thought to maintain a fervent desire for simplicity in gathering around the Lord Jesus, though practices and secondary doctrines may vary culturally and/or preferentially as autonomous (yet inter-dependent) local churches.

Assemblies are sorted geographically, and will, D.V., eventually have further history within. Red links on Brethrenpedia are presently undeveloped, and blue links contain data. Neil was a carpenter & miner, then a Presbyterian pastor. Neil's 2nd wife (1904 @ Chicago, IL) was Jean McKechnie (b. 1875 Braidwood, Will, IL - d. 1963 Cavalier, N.D.). Janette's husband (1920 @ Grand Forks): William Airth Stewart (1894-1984 Gilby, N.D.), son of John Ferguson Stewart (b. 1861 McNab Twp., Renfrew, ON - d. 1947 Gilby, N.D.) & Mary Ann Hamilton Stewart (b. 1862 McNab Twp., Renfrew, ON - d. 1949 Gilby, N.D.). John Stewart was raised in the Church of Scotland. In 1930, the William & Janette Stewart lived in Strabane, Grand Forks, N.D., their eldest twin sons both served in the Navy during WWII. William was a veteran of the Army during WWI (1917-1919). Children:
      • William Lee Stewart (b. 1922 Gilby, N.D. - d. pneumonia 1929 Grand Forks, N.D.)
      • John Arnold "Arni" Stewart (b. 1926 Grand Forks, N.D. - d. 2010 Gilby, N.D.). Wife: Lila Jean Lucas Stewart (b. 1931 Wahpeton, Richland, N.D.), daughter Dr. Samuel Chan Lucas (b. 1895 Wilson, Dunn, WI - d. 1965 Wahpeton, N.D.), a dentist, & Olive Gladys Lohr Lucas (b. 1899 Tipton, Hardin, IA - d. 1987 Wahpeton, N.D.). Arni served as an elder at the Gilby Presbyterian Church.
      • Dean Robert Stewart (b. 1926 Grand Forks, N.D. - d. 2002 Gilby, N.D.).

Henry was a paternal grandson of William Clark (b. 1804 - d. 1868 Nashville Center, Martin, MN), who in 1860 worked as a laborer in Potosi, Grant, WI, and a maternal grandson of John R. Thomas (b. 1798 Wales - d. 1877 Mankato, Blue Earth, WI) & Ellenor Ellen Prichard Thomas (b. 1809 Wales - d. 1884 Mankato, WI).

While living in Millarton, Henry and his son Paul operated a hardware store (Clark & Son). Wife: Ella Elizabeth Doolittle Clark (b. 1860 Magnolia, Rock, WI - d. 1934 Valley City, Barnes, N.D.), daughter of Newton Joseph Doolittle (b. 1830 Murray, Orleans, N.Y. - d. 1891 Nashville Center, Martin, MN) & Ermina Jeannette Rowley Schofield-Doolittle (b. 1848 Rock Co., WI - d. 1904 Martin Co., WI). No close relation to Dr. Alfred Taylor Schofield (1846-1929), the eminent physician and Bible teacher, or to Gen. Jimmy Doolittle, the legendary WWII flier.

  • Paul Doolittle Clark (b. 1896 Fairmont, Martin, MN - d. 1980 Fort Collins, Larimer, CO). Wife: Mabel Elizabeth Palmer Clark (b. 1894 Sauk Centre, Stearns, MN - d. 1952 Valley City, Barnes, N.D.), daughter of Charles Gustave Palmer (b. 1862 Rudskoga, Varmland, Sweden - d. 1948 Glenwood, Pope, MN) & Charlotte Elizabeth Olson Palmer (b. 1868 Fristad, Älvsborg (Västra Götaland), Sweden - d. 1950 Melrose, Stearns, MN). Mabel's parents were registered Lutheran in the 1860's-1880's.
  • Cora Eliza Clark Nichols (b. 1885 Fairmont, MN - d. 1944 Valley City, N.D.). Husband: Fred Levern Nichols (b. 1878 Sumner, Bremer, IA - d. 1974 Bernidji, Beltrami, MN), son of James Nichols (b. 1848 Belmont, Grant, WI - d. 1925 Staples, Wadena, MN) & Maria Diana Wescott Nichols (b. 1851 Erie Co., PA - d. 1916 Staples, MN).
  • Ermina Margaret "Mina" Clark Knapp (b. 1892 Fairmont, MN - d. 1974 Valley City, N.D.). Husband: Charles William Knapp (b. 1885 Minonk, Woodford, IL - d. 1962 Big Timber, Sweet Grass, MT), in 1910 a telegraph operator for the RR in Minonk. He was a son of Christian Knapp (b. 1857 IL - d. 1935 Wood Dale, DuPage, IL), and a grandson of Carl Knapp (b. 1818 Steinmienten, Rheinphals, Germany - d. 1909 Mokena, IL). Carl was a recognized early settler of Mokena, having emigrated to the area in 1850, affiliated with what is now St. John's UCoC.

Fred was a paternal grandson of Michael Bischka & Katharina Fauzlein Bischka. Wife: Magdalena Wehr Bischke (b. 1883 Romania - d. 1951 Harvey, N.D.), daughter of Ernest Ferdinand Wehr (b. 1840 Odessa, Odeska, Ukraine; emig. 1858; d. 1928 Anamoose, McHenry, N.D.) & Christina Mehrer Wehr (b. 1851 Atmagea, Tulcea, Romania; emig. 1858; d. 1934 Anamoose, McHenry, N.D.). In 1910, Fred co-owned a general store, in 1920, a foreman for a grocery store, then in 1940, a ladies clothing store.
      • Alvin Andrew Bischke (b. 1910 Anamoose, N.D. - d. 2001 Minneapolis, Hennepin, MN). In 1930, Alvin was an electrician, and in 1940 he owned a store that sold radios. Wife: Jennie Emelia Carlson Bischke (1914-2009 Minneapolis, MN), daughter of Anders Gustav "Andrew" Carlson (b. 1873 Sweden; emig. 1907; d. 1929 Minneapolis, MN) & Gina Eriksen Carlson (b. 1876 Eidskog, Hedmark, Norway - d. 1920 Minneapolis, MN).
      • Viola Laura Bischke Wohl (b. 1919 Harvey, N.D. - d. 1993 Anamoose, N.D.). Husband: Henry Rudolph Wohl (b. 1911 Anamoose, N.D. - d. 2006 Harvey, N.D.), son of Adam Wohl (b. 1886 Russia - d. 1974 Anamoose, N.D.) & Paulina Brahm Wohl (b. 1889 Russia - d. 1950 Anamoose, N.D.).
      • Herbert Earl Bischke (b. 1922 Harvey, N.D. - d. 2002 Honolulu, HI). Wife: Betty Eileen Ernst Cupps-Bischke (b. 1921 Aberdeen, Brown, S.D. - d. 2006 Pinebluff, Moore, N.C.), daughter of Rheinhold L. Ernst (b. 1898 Eureka, S.D. - d. 1973 1973 Ogden, UT) & Jessie Mae Wakefield Ernst-Haver (b. 1901 Myron, Faulk, S.D. - d. 1994 Crystal, Hennepin, MN). Memorial for Herbert @ Oak Grove Church, Golden Valley, MN.
      • Richard Miles Bischke (b. 1924 Harvey, N.D. - d. 2011 Rochester, Olmsted, MN). Wife: Ivy Jeanne Raine Bischke (b. 1927 Minot, Ward, N.D. - d. 1995 Olmsted Co., MN), daughter of Roland Marshall Raine (b. 1899 Winston, Durham, Eng. - d. 1975 Lake View, Sac, IA) & Beatrice Selma Wangen Raine (b. 1905 Wells, S.D. - d.
