The WW assembly met initially in Jean Thonney's home. His family emigrated to the U.S. on Apr. 15, 1850. By 1856 he lived at Greenville, Bond, IL, and in 1870 he was at Beaver Creek, Bond, IL where it is presumed the year he relocated to Walla Walla, likely via the Oregon Trail. Henry Rochat lived here 1883-1884.

  • Jean Gabriel Thonney 1870-1880+ (b. 1827 Vullien, Vaud, Switzerland), son of Ferdinand Thonney (1760-1832) and Julie Bahon Thonney (1784-1836),
  • Julia Mennet Thonney 1870-1880+ (b. 1828; emig. 1851 to New Orleans; m. 1-17-1852 Edwardsville/Sebastipol, Madison, IL; d. 1916).
