Henry Watson Fowler (1858-1933), the lexicographer who is notable for his work on the well-known A Dictionary of Modern English Usage & Concise Oxford Dictionary moved to Guernsey in 1903, working on projects like this with his brother Francis George Fowler (1871-1918). Their father, Robert Fowler, was a Cambridge grad clergyman, and he and his wife Caroline (Watson) Fowler were originally from Devon, England where the PB was birthed. It is currently unknown whether the Fowler (or Watson) families were affiliated with the PB, but thought worth noting, from his wiki.
