In 1900, Pauline worked as a servant for William Edward Swentzel (b. 1847 Lancaster, PA - d. 1924 Kansas City, MO), who was a vice-president of the Lombard Investment Co., of England, later in real estate in KCMO.

- Naomi Broadfoot Miller (b. 1882 Mount Pleasant, Henry, IA - d. 1924 Savannah, Andrew, MO). Husband (1902 Atlantic, IA): Dr. George Roscoe Miller (b. 1880 Fontanelle, Adair, IA - d. 1971 Canton, Lincoln, SD).
- Dr. Miller's 2nd wife (1927 @ Duluth, MN): Ellen Luken Miller. George & Ellen lived in Des Moines, IA until 1966 when George retired from dentistry, when they moved to Canton.
- During WWII, they lived at the Brown Hotel in Des Moines, which was founded by Robert Ankeny Brown (1899-1976), whose grandfather John Fletcher Ankeny (1824-1886) provided the namesake for the city in Iowa, for his pioneer contributions to the railroad and street plans there. The Brown Hotel operated 1912-1969, and was the central headquarters for the Interstate Insurance company, and housed a notable mounted fish collection from scientific expedition in the lobby, as per a 1975 interview, later donated to a museum in Milwaukee.

Brown family
John Edward Brown was a Methodist Episcopal pastor in 1891 in Griswold, Norton, KS, and resided in Anita, Iowa +1885-1896+ which is where he likely met Alexander Broadfoot, who he invited to hold Gospel meetings in 1900 in the Baptist church in 1900 that resulted in the start of the assembly there. Later he founded the assembly in Kanorado.
- John Edward Brown 1900-1910+ (b. 1857 IL - d. 1938 Kanorado, KS), son of John Brown & Sarah Andrews Brown.
- Rosette "Rosa" M. Hale Brown (b. 1864 IA; m. 1885 Anita, Cass, IA; d. 1927 Kanorado, KS), daughter of John Hale & Mary Hayes Hale. Their wedding was officiated by G.A. Deitrich.
- Perry Davenport Brown (b. 1894 Anita, IA - d. 1964 Torrington, Goshen, WY). Wife (1916 @ Long Island, KS): Ruth Halderman Brown (b. 1898 Long Island, KS - d. 1990 Casper, WY), daughter of George Washington Halderman (b. 1866 Lancaster, Fairfield, OH - d. 1946 Long Island, KS) & Ida "Addie" Belle Phipps Halderman (b. 1869 Freedom, Owen, IN - d. 1957 Norton, KS). Perry & Ruth resided in Kanorado 1916-1935, then Joes, CO 1935-1939, then Wyoming. Perry was employed as an insurance agent.
- Loyd Sylvester Brown (b. 1892 Anita, IA - d. 1968 Goodland, Sherman, KS). Wife (1916 Atlantic, IA): Kathryn Onelda Boos Brown (b. 1897 Brooklyn, NY - d. 1986 Goodland, KS).
- Cecile Rovida Brown Horn (b. 1890 Anita, IA - d. 1962 Longmont, CO). Husband: David Scott Horn (b. 1888 Sheridan, IA - d. 1978 Denver, CO), son of William Horn (b. 1857 Scot.; emig. 1880) & Elizabeth Davidson Horn (b. 1860 Lesmahag, Lanark, Scot.; m. 1882; emig. 1892; d. 1900 Mystic, IA).
- Grace M. Brown Ball (b. 1897 Anita, IA - d. 1920 Kanorado, KS). She graduated from the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago, Illinois, and was giving piano and harmony lessons in Long Island in 1916.

The Nash family moved from MA to Illinois in 1854, then Marshalltown, Iowa in 1857, then to Long Island, KS in 1874, and Phillipsburg, KS in 1877, although Granite Twp. where Samuel was born in 1879 is closer to Long Island. By 1900, Henry did reside nearer to Phillipsburg.
