Thonney family
The WW assembly met initially in Jean Thonney's home. His family emigrated to the U.S. on Apr. 15, 1850. By 1856 he lived at Greenville, Bond, IL, and in 1870 he was at Beaver Creek, Bond, IL where it is presumed the year he relocated to Walla Walla, likely via the Oregon Trail. Henry Rochat lived here 1883-1884.

Members of both the Thonney and the Baud family are regarded to be among the pioneers of Pullman, Theophilus moved there in 1878, when the city was two years old and known as Three Forks, renamed Pullman in 1888.
