He was employed more than 30 years as senior designer at American Cyanamid, Bound Brook. He resided in Milltown, then moved to Franklin Park in 1951. He also served as administrator of the Emmanuel Home from 1951-1985, and Gertrude was co-manager, retiring in 1986.
- Lt. Col. Henry Paul Brauner +1946-1954+ (b. 1936 New Brunswick, NJ - d. 1972 Laos). Wife (1960 @ Brownwood, TX): Gloria Madeline Rader Brauner (b. 1939 Laurium, MI - d. 1994 Pleasant Valley, CA), daughter of Carl Henry Rader (1913-1993) & Edna Caroline McCoy Rader (1917-2005). In 1964, Cpl. Brauner was assigned to the 67th Air Rescue Squadron, 1631st Air Base Group in Prestwick, Scotland where his infant son Robert died of anoxia in 1964. He was reported MIA on March 29, 1972 when his C-130 transport plane was shot down by missiles. As per his obit, a day earlier he risked his life while under enemy fire to rescue a pilot who had been shot down. His name is on a memorial at Rutgers University dedicated to graduates who were killed or MIA during the Vietnam War. Henry's wife Gloria was killed in a car accident, she lived 22 years in El Dorado Co., CA.

- Warren Douglass "Doug" Smith +1946+ (1904-1983), son of Ervin Hickey Smith (b. 1872 Jersey City, NJ - d. 1956 New Brunswick, NJ) & Ella Harned Smith (b. 1871 Woodbridge, NJ; m. 1896 New Brunswick, NJ; d. 1965). Ervin was employed as a wholesale food distributor, based out of Newark. He was an active member of St. James M.E. in 1956. Doug graduated New Brunswick High School in 1921, Rutgers in 1925, and the NJ Law School in 1928. From 1925-1929, he taught history, civics and vocational guidance at high schools in New Brunswick & Perth Amboy. He was admitted to the NJ Bar in 1929. As early as 1931, he was a member of the Vandewater & Manser law firm of Princeton. Their wedding was officiated by Martin R. Guise, pastor of the M.E. church. See their wedding announcement. Doug had a sister, Mrs. Walter Mounce of Middlebush, NJ. In 1946, Doug resided on Terhune Rd. Doug left the assembly at some juncture, and was last in fellowship with the Westerly Road Church in Princeton, and also served with the Gideons.
