From BrethrenPedia
William E. Belch, Cascapedia, QC:
"On the Gaspe Coast are eight small assemblies. They are very weak in themselves as there is a lack of local gift, and thus need to be stimulated all the time. Having made our home at the above address, we have seen much fruit here, and some going on well.
During the winter months it is difficult to get about on account of the terrific piles of snow, but in January I rejoiced to sec some fifteen saved at Carlisle, and later at the same place five more, and some of these have been added to the small assembly.
During the summer months, which are about five, we endeavor to reach outside places, preaching in school-houses or private homes or in the open air. As a rule, we have a good hearing, and some results. Much opposition is raised by the Roman Catholics, but nothing serious. This is a very needy field, and room for enlarging our coasts."
