1934

  • AA 1934-2: Toronto: "Mr. J. Monypenny (c/o General Post Office, Toronto) has returned and is having nightly gospel meetings in Pape Ave. Hall. He is deeply exercised concerning relatives in this city."

1940's

1943

  • AA 1943-3: Ontario: "Albert Joyce and David Adams are having good gospel meetings in Grand Bend, with some interested. Brethren Warke and Klabunda are continuing meetings in Junction Hall, Toronto. Brethren Pearson and Watson are still in Bracondale Hall Toronto. Brethren Nugent and Gould's meetings in Pape Ave Hall, Toronto are being well attended with some troubled. Forest: Thomas Wilkie has visited nearly every house with gospel tracts. Galt: Brethren Shivas and Wilkie are much encouraged by good attendance and interest at their special gospel series here.

A number who were converted at meetings held eight years ago' are active workers in this campaign... "fruit that remains." Saint Catherines: Mr. F. W. Mehl'has begun a Gospel series in this city."

1946

  • AA 1946-2: Toronto:
    • "The Annual conventions will be held during Easter Season April 19, 20 and 21. Brock Avenue, West Toronto and Bracondale Assemblies will meet in Central High School of Commerce, 570 Shaw Street. Pape Avenue, Highfield Road and Broadview Ave. Assemblies will meet in the Eastern High School of Commerce, 16 Phin Ave. Central and Swanwick Assemblies will meet in Central Hall, 26 Charles St., East. A united Prayer meeting of the first six mentioned assemblies will be held in the Gospel hall, 311 Brock Ave., on Thursday, April 18 at 7:30 P.M. Address communications: For West End, Mr. Joseph Coleman, 112 Spencer Ave., Toronto 3, Ont. Fer East End, Mr. John Robertson, 43 Howard St., Toronto 5, Ont. For Central, Mr. Gee. W. Cunnington, 683 Eglington Ave., Toronto 12, Ontario."
    • "Special meetings have been held in the various halls and the Lord's people are being cheered by seeing His hand stretched out In blessing. Brother McRory has had meetings in Pape Ave. Hall, brethren Gould and Wilkie are still

  • AA 1946-5: Toronto: "Mr. Andrew Douglas commenced meetings in Pape Ave. Gospel Hall, using his new chart on Egypt to Canaan, Lord's Day, May 5."

1951

  • AA 1951-2: Conferences: "The Pape Ave., Highfield Rd., Broadview Ave., Birch Cliff, and Eglinton Ave., Halls, in the East end will have their conference in the Eastern High School of Commerce, 16 Phin Ave., corner of Chatham and Phin Avenues with meetings same time as on west end, but no meeting on Saturday morning. The prayer meeting for the East end Assemblies will be held in the Pape Ave. Gospel Hall, corner of Pape Ave. and Andwych Ave., Thursday at 7:30. Correspondence for this conference may be addressed to Mr. John Robertson, 43 Howard St., Toronto 5, Ont."
  • AA 1951-3: The Toronto Telegram lists the following speakers for the various halls in Toronto, Canada, for one of the Lord's days in March. Sydney Porteous, Bracondale; M. McCloud and F. White, Broadview; Jack Joyce and Herb Simms in Brock; T. W. Stainton and H. Masters, Central; Neil Fraser in Danforth; James Irwin in Gilead; R. Roberts and J. Blackwood in Pape; A. Ure in Grace and Truth; Herb Radford and Alec McCready in Lansing; Mr. Reyburn in Markham; Bert Joyce and J. Yacavone in Mimico; J. Humphrey in Olivet and C. Tatham in Leaside."

1952

  • AA 1952-2: Easter Conferences: Toronto:
    • "The Annual Conference of the Central and Danforth Assemblies will be held (D.V.) in Central Hall 25 Charles St., E. on Friday, 10:30, 2:30 and 7:30; Saturday 2:30 and 7:30 and Lord's Day 10, 2:30 and 7:30, with a prayer meeting on Thursday at 7:45 P.M. Visitors cordially invited. Correspondents, L.A. Rickard, 254 Hillsdale Ave., E. (Central Hall), R.L. Woodward, 19 Enderby Road (Danforth Hall)."
    • "The Assemblies meeting at Ascot, Birchcliff, Bracondale, Broadview, Brock, Eglinton, (at Cleveland), Highfield, Lansing, Mimico, Pape and West Toronto will unite in conference meetings in Central High School of Commerce, 570 Shaw Street, and Eastern High School of Commerce, Phin Ave. The time of meetings will be the same as those listed for Central and Danforth excepting the Gospel Meetings on Lord's Day which will be at 7. There will also be a meeting Saturday morning at 10:30 in the Central High School of Commerce. Prayer meetings will be held in Brock and Pape Halls Thursday at 7:30.   • 1996-3: Toronto: "Harold Paisley had a week of encouraging ministry in February at Eglinton, speaking from the Gospel according to John. The saints at Pape recently celebrated 75 years of assembly testimony. They thank God for His faithfulness and preserving care throughout these years."

      • Lansing: "Robert Surgenor had a week of well attended and appreciated ministry meetings in November. While in the area, brother Surgenor also visited Pape and Fairbank."
      • Toronto: " John Norris paid appreciated visits to Eglinton, Pape, Newmarket and Langstaff, spending a Lord’s day and ministering one night at all four assemblies. In early December, Andrew Bergsma also spent a Lord’s day and one night at Eglinton. At a special commemorative meeting at Pape in November, Arnold Adams and Harold Paisley were present to recount God’s goodness to the assembly over more than 75 years. Alex Dryburgh gave helpful ministry at Highfield during the first week of December."

      • "Harold Paisley had a week of well attended and Christ exalting ministry meetings at Pape Avenue in early February."
      • "On January 29, Harold Paisley was with the saints at Eglinton and one soul professed salvation at the gospel meeting. Brother Paisley expects to start four nights of ministry on Joseph at Pape Avenue on February 3 and then have a further four nights in ministry at Eglinton later in February."
  • T&T 1997-10: Toronto: "Tom Wright (Brazil) was expected for meetings at various assemblies in the area during the latter part of September. The saints at Pape Avenue expect Brian Crawford for children’s meetings early in October. Quebec."

1998

  • T&T 1998-2: Tidings: "Toronto, Jack Nesbitt and Murray Pratt had gospel meetings at Highfield with a good interest and several souls found the Saviour. A baptism was held after the gospel meeting on November 30 at Pape Avenue and one of the speakers had the great joy of witnessing his mother and his aunt obey the Lord in the waters of baptism."

1999

  • T&T 1999-1: Tidings: "Toronto, Commencing November 29, Harold Paisley had a week of well attended and profitable ministry meetings at Pape Avenue, speaking from the Proverbs. Prayer is requested for a gospel series which Uel Ussher and James McClelland expect to commence in Highfield on January 10."

      • "Toronto, As usual, more than 1,000 attended the three day Easter conference. The saints thank God for profitable ministry, instructive Bible readings, challenging pioneering reports and powerful gospel meetings. Help was given by A. Adams, J. Allen, N. Crawford, J. Curie, A. Hull, S. Kember, T. Kember, W. Lavery, T. McNeill, D. Oliver, H. Paisley and J. Smith. Following the conference, brethren Allen and Lavery had meetings in the area. On April 7, H. Paisley gave very timely ministry on “hitherto” and “henceforth” at the final meeting at Pape Avenue. Brother Paisley expected to be with the same assembly for their first Lord’s day at their new Victoria Park location on April 11."
      • "Toronto, On a brief visit to Ontario in early February, Ken Turkington gave a report at Pape Avenue on the work in Venezuela and then went on to Guelph, Kitchener, London and Grand Bend. James McClelland and Samuel Ussher had four weeks of encouraging gospel meetings at Highfield."
