In 1960, Leonard H. Laine started an open brethren assembly in his home in 100 Mile House, Cariboo, Interior BC, which met until 1983 with exception of when it was hosted in the home of James Milroy 1975-1976. In the 1970's, after breaking bread in homes, Leonard and others would fellowship at Williams Lake Evangelical Free Church, whose current pastor, incidentally, has some PB in his spiritual heritage. The assembly may have played an influential role in the start of Horse Lake Christian Fellowship in 1981, which meets currently in the same area.
