F.W. Nugent, Merchantville, New Jersey:
"About five years ago, being exercised about the need in the South, I was led to Canton, North Carolina where after laboring with Brother W.G. Foster, a number of precious souls were saved. In other places we also saw blessing. Our experience proves that while there is an ear for the Gospel in the South yet there is little desire to remember the Lord according to His word.
There is an Assembly in Asheville, North Carolina. We have been also laboring in Virginia and the Lord has blessed His word. Have recently been in Riverton, New Jersey, a new field. Hoping that the Saints may be stirred up to look upon the fields close at hand which indeed are “ripe unto harvest” but alas, “the laborers are few!”
