Harold Harper, Dublin, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania:

"A line in our Lord's ever precious Name to ask you to thank those who made possible the gift sent from the Pioneer Fund. We certainly appreciate this token of their fellowship in the gospel, which we seek to make known here and there—in new places by choice, but at times one must listen to the calls that come crowding in from various assemblies for help to be given.

My summer’s work was accomplished in two new fields. I purchased a new tent and pitched in Jamestown, N.Y. in order to help a small assembly of six believers who meet to break bread in a home. Four weeks were spent in this place, and while folk came out fairly well, especially the last week when the tent was filled every night, yet we saw no manifest fruit in the salvation of lost souls.

I bought some time over the local radio station and each day for five minutes I sought to preach the gospel as well as to announce the meetings. By that means hundreds, yea thousands, heard the message of grace, and I believe the Spirit of God will give fruitage to the seed sown. I hope to return to that field later on when a building can be secured for special meetings.

Our next location was Mt. Union, Penna. A work was done in the gospel last winter when I preached in the schoolhouse a mile out of town. At that time eight or ten trusted Christ. I returned to help these saints and to see if the Lord would be pleased to save more so that a testimony may be begun. The attendance and interest has been encouraging, the tent being filled every night and packed to capacity other nights, with interested listeners."
