  • LOI 1948-3: "A united Conference of eight assemblies of the Greater Vancouver Area is planned (God willing) for the Easter season March 25 to March 28, 1948 (with special meetings for the following month). This is the 36th Annual Conference which has grown from one small assembly and now includes seven others. These eight assemblies jointly extend a hearty invitation to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ to meet with them for a season of prayer, praise and ministry of the Word of God. Speakers expected are Mr. Geo. M. Landis, Fayetteville, Pa., Mr. August VanRyn, Miami, Fla., and Mr. Henry Petersen, Los Angeles, Calif., and join with us in prayer that this may be a time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Kitsilano Gospel Hall, East Burnaby Hall, Central Park Hall, Parkway Gospel Hall, Knight Road Hall, 24rh Ave. Hall, Hollyburn Hall and Mount Pleasant Hall."

Friday and Saturday, April ll and 12. Friday meetings convened at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Granville and 43rd; on Saturday they met at 3:00 p.m. at Kitsilano. Brethren Henry Petersen and Ian Rathie were expected, with Brother Petersen continuing nightly April l3 to 25 with messages on the Tabernacle.The assemblies at Hastings East and North Vancouver Gospel Halls held a conference at Sunset Memorial Centre with about ten brethren ministering the Word."
