By 1897, there was a Gospel Hall in Chatham, Kent Co., Ontario, Canada. It met at 56-4th St., near the post office as early as 1936-1950 and at 218 Forest Ave. 1951-1971, then the assembly folded.
Meanwhile, by 1897, there was also a Gospel Hall in nearby Merlin, in the same county. T. Brown was the correspondent at that time, followed by John Brown by 1927, Isaac Brown by 1936-1948+, E.W. Jones 1950-1970, Robert A. Robertson @ Leamington & Kingsville 1971-1990, and David Robertson thru the present. In 1994, the assembly relocated to its current location of 235 Joseph St., Chatham, rebranding as Chatham Gospel Hall.
By 1988, a separate Chatham Bible Chapel was started, either a division from this assembly or from Chatham Meeting Room, which met at a local Christian school thru 1994, then 21 McKeough St. thru 1998, with a correspondent of Len Carr. By 2000, it was meeting in a home at 17 Regency Dr., with an unknown contact, known as Chatham Bible Fellowship. There has also been a TW-exclusive assembly meeting in Chatham since as early as 1871, which in recent years has met in a home in Leamington, known as Leamington Meeting Room.
