He was born in 1861 at Barton St. Mary, Gloucester, England to farmer Henry his wife Mary Sadler. He was given an Anglican baptism on Jan. 8, 1862 at the Mariners Chapel in that same area. Henry emigrated to the U.S. in 1880, living briefly at 348 E. 84th St., New York City where he was employed as a finisher, and married his first wife in 1887. They relocated to Denver to setup a furniture manufacturing business, having interned in that industry for an uncle while a teenager. His first wife died in 1894, and he returned briefly to England, returning in 1898.

Henry's second wife Maude's father, Joseph L. Collins was born in Milford, DE, the son of William Candy Collins (b. 1808 Milford, DE - d. d. 1873 Fort Scott, KS). There was an exclusive brethren assembly in Fort Scott at the time of William's death.

There was a Henry Collins (possibly b. 1852 N.Y. - d. 1927 Wilmington, DE) who served as a correspondent for a TW exclusive assembly at Rising Sun, DE in 1889. Joseph (Maude's father) had a brother named Henry Collins who was born in Delaware, possibly the same.

Also, Henry Peter Collins (b. 1882 Farmer City, IL - d. 1977 Jerseyville, IL) was at a TW assembly in Witt, IL by 1944, and his son Alvin William Collins (b. 1909 Witt, IL - d. 1969 Nokomis, IL) at Roxana, IL in +1930-1935+, and Nokomis, IL in +1940-1969, among TW assemblies +1930-1944+. Unknown if related. Henry's parents were born in Ohio.

Death

Henry's 2nd wife Maude died on June 5, 1924 in Denver. Henry stayed in the area until ca. 1938 when he relocated to Los Angeles, California to live with his daughter Mabel's family, where he died on Oct. 30, 1946.
