There was an open brethren (OB) assembly in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts possibly as early as 1897, when John Martin visited there on his way to New Brunswick via conferences in Boston (MA) and Philadelphia (PA), but definitely meeting at 1015 Central Street, near Davis Square by 1904. In 1922, it met at 139 Brough St., with a correspondent of Kirby S. Taylor. By 1926, and thru at least 1941, it met at Moore & Lawrence Streets with various contacts.

The 1926 USCoRB indicated that in that year there were 40 in fellowship (15 men, 25 women) including 5 S.S. teachers, presiding over 35 children (for a total of 75). The Hall had a value of $6,000 with no debt, $600 was spent in 1926 on assembly expenses, and $500.00 was additionally spent towards the Lord's work.
