Mansfield Gospel Hall, OH

Prior to 1936, an open brethren Gospel Hall was founded in Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio, which met +1936-1947 at 25 N. Mulberry St., then at N. Mulberry & Orchard Sts. +1943-1947, and 536 Kentucky Ave. 1948-end. In 1948, it rebranded as Lincoln Heights Gospel Chapel, and met thru 1980 before folding at some juncture. Correspondents included J. Alex Forrest +1936+, James Hunter, Sr. +1941-1967, David E. Holdsworth 1968-1971, and W. Bowser @ N. Weldon 1972-1973. In 1959, the assembly currently known as Mansfield Gospel Hall was founded by Norman Crawford. This subsequent meeting met by 1964 at 30 Hoffer St., then to its current location on 820 Mansfield Washington Rd. in 1976. Paul E. Hoffman was the earliest known correspondent (1964-1980+), a son-in-law of David O. Calderhead, an itinerant preacher who was also an alum of this assembly in his latter years.
