Manvel Bible Chapel, TX

Manvel Bible Chapel is an open brethren assembly within the metro of Houston, Texas. It traces its roots back to first open assembly known as Houston Gospel Hall, which was founded in 1893 (possibly the first open assembly in Texas) by Joseph Jamison, an Irishman.
It may have been planted in 1931, and met from +1936-1941+ in the home of C.C. Peters of Manvel. By 1943, it was known as Manvel Gospel Chapel, and rebranded by 1972 changing "Gospel" to "Bible". It subsequently met in a variety of locations until 1976 when they were meeting at 7232 King Ave. They constructed a new building in 2000 in nearby Pearland where it currently resides.
