Ministry
1935
Bro. William Robertson of Philadelphia had a week of appreciated ministry in Cleveland, OH recently. He went on to Chicago for meetings in the Roberts Memorial Hall.
1937
From the Witness: "R.T. Halliday and W.C. Bousfield had 6 weeks good meetings in Roberts Memorial Gospel Hall, Chicago. Large attendances, a goodly number professed, a time of reaping and rejoicing. Our bro. Bousfield was called to visit a man in the hospital who had heard him speak on a street in England some 12 years before."
1945
January 1945 LOI: "The assembly at Eighty-Sixth and Bishop Streets, Chicago, has been cheered recently by six Sunday school scholars professing Christ. Five of these have been baptized and received into fellowship." (John T. Pollard, SS Supt.)
1947
"Brethren G. Reager & P. Plubel have had a series of Gospel meetings in Roberts Memorial Hall, 86th and Bishop. There was some interest in the first part of November for which the brethren and assembly thank God."
1951
Edgar Ainslie, 817 N. Chauncey Ave., W. Lafayette, IN: "It has been my privilege to minister the Word in the Bay area of San Francisco and at the Roberts Memorial Gospel Hall in Chicago. Since then the Lord has been pleased to lay me aside with sickness, and will appreciate the prayers of the Lord's people that I may again help the Lord's people here and there."
1956
John Elliott, 907 W. Central St., Springfield, MO: "Robert Crawford and I have finished up special meetings at Roberts Memorial Gospel Hall in Chicago. Plan to work in the Philadelphia area in the near future. One boy professed to be saved as the result of our children's meetings held here in Springfield each Friday night.
1960
March
Ernest B. Sprunt, 18 Haynes Ave., St. Catherines, Ontario: "In February I commenced children's meetings in Rexdale, a new work near Toronto, and the latter part of February had a similar series for boys and girls in the Broadview Hall, in Toronto. The middle of March is set aside for two weeks with the children in Roberts Memorial Hall in Chicago."
December
Leonard DeBuhr and Eric McCullough both of Iowa had four weeks of meetings in the Roberts Memorial Gospel Hall, 86th and Bishop Streets, Chicago, during October. While there were no known conversions, the meetings were good and profitable. The gospel was preached in simplicity and power and a good number of outsiders attended."
1961
Aubrey Dellandrea ministers at Roberts Memorial Gospel Hall: "The three week special Gospel meetings conducted by Mr. Aubrey Dellandrea were completed on Nov. 5th in RMGH, Chicago. Some blessing among SS scholars resulted and the assurance of salvation was granted a married woman. A large number of unsaved heard the Word faithfully declared, some of whom had never been in the hall before. Mr. Dellandrea expects to join Mr. Ray Fox in a special Gospel effort in Stirling, Ontario.
1965
"The ministry meetings held in mid March by David Long of Angola were very instructive and helpful. The attendance was good in spite of inclement weather, and many from other assemblies were present. The ministry, taken from the Epistle of Hebrews, was both Christ exalting and heart searching. William Bunting from Northern Ireland is to begin two weeks of ministry there on May 2."
