Richmond Meeting Room, BC

This is a TW-exclusive meeting room that originated as early as 1889 in Vancouver, for a time in 1911 it met at Kitsilano before returning to Vancouver, then relocated about 1989 to Richmond where it presently resides. The earliest correspondent was H.L. Johnson, followed by William Coe (1868-1939) and Gottlieb Reinhold Groth (1873-1941). Present contacts (etc.) unlisted to respect their privacy.

In 1941, the McDowell split claimed many families until the early 1960's when they returned, so when Albert Cyril Harman was stationed in Vancouver that year, with his family accompanying, there was no assembly for them to attend that was in fellowship, and he was transferred nearly immediately back to Manitoba for the duration of WWII, or at least until 1944. His wife Ina and children remained in Vancouver, and hosted several ladies in their home to remember the Lord, with no men present.

In the early 1960's, Frederick W. Coleman, Eric James David Keating, and John T. Graham restarted an assembly in Vancouver, which continues today in Richmond having relocated there in 1993.
