In 1963, Wallace William Lentz (1904-1998) started an open brethren assembly in Saginaw, Michigan that was likely a division from Saginaw Gospel Hall. It was known from 1963-1966 as Saginaw Gospel Chapel, and met at 446 Stoker Dr. From 1967-1973, it was known simply as a prayer meeting and bible study in the home of Maurice Ernest Layer (1916-1990) at 1925 Robinwood.
