According to a census from 1901, John Matheson and his family lived in Summerside, Prince Edward Island that year. John identified as Seventh Day Adventist, but his wife Theresa and their four grown children identified as Brethren. His son Neil and his family lived nearby that identified as Methodist. John's parents were born in Scotland. In 1911, they were living at 110 Foundry St., possibly in 1901 also.
