Westside Bible Church, ID
From BrethrenPedia
Prior to 1904, Alexander McPherson (1861-1940) planted an open brethren assembly in Boise, Idaho that in its early years was known as Boise Gospel Hall. By 1936, it was meeting two miles west of Boise on Nampa Hwy. By 1948, it was meeting at 210 O'Farrell St., and had changed its name to Christian Assembly Chapel. In 1950, its location was described as two miles west on Hwy 30, and it had changed back to Boise Gospel Hall. By 1954, it was again Christian Assembly Chapel, and had moved to 1820 Hartman.
In 1971, the name changed to Westside Bible Chapel. In 1991, they had outgrown their Hartman location and met temporarily at the YMCA @ 9th & State, then by 1993 at 8580 Ustick Rd., and changed their name to Westside Bible Church, and in 1995 moved into their present location at 2040 E. Fairview Ave in nearby Meridian. The assembly still weekly celebrates the Lord's Supper, and is governed by a plurality of elders, with the help of a commended resident missionary.
