Reid (b. 1858 Smiths Falls, Leeds, ON - d. 1938 Bottineau, N.D.), son of Patrick Reid (b. 1822 Ireland - d. 1892 Bastard & South Burgess, Leeds & Grenville, ON) & Catherine Reid (b. 1821 Ireland - d. after 1891 Elmsley, ON). In 1861, Charles was R.C., & 1871-1901 Anglican. In 1911, the family emigrated from Lyleton, MB to St. John, N.D., by driving across with horses, and was employed as a hardware merchant.
  • Martha Jane Wood Reid +1923-1933+ (b. 1857 Elmsley, Leeds & Grenville, ON - d. 1947 Langbank, Melville, SK), daughter of Robert Wood (b. 1812 Scotland) & Margaret Wood (b. 1821 Ireland). Martha was raised Presbyterian.

Husband: Joseph Gibson Cosgrove (b. 1884 Napinka, MB - d. 1970 Winnipeg, MB), son of James Barnes Cosgrove (b. 1849 Hope, Durham, ON - d. 1931 Melita, MB) & Mary Mathilda Vall Cosgrove (b. 1858 Kars, Kings, NB - d. 1932 Melita, MB).
    • Edith Margaret Kathleen Reid Greenway (b. 1897 MB - d. 1980 Jarvie, Whitecourt, AB), a schoolteacher in 1920 in Antler. Husband: Rev. Reginald Watts Greenway (b. 1906 Waskada, MB; later Vancouver, B.C.; d. 1974 Westlock, AB), son of William Nelson Greenway (b. 1868 Stephen, Huron South, ON - d. 1949 Jarvie, AB) & Ada Rachel Smith Greenway (b. 1882 Selkirk, MB - d. 1956 Jarvie, AB). Ada was a descendant of Ralph Smith (b. 1610 Norfolk, England - d. 1685 Eastham, Barnstable, MA), who is alleged by historian Solomon Lincoln, Jr., to have been listed first among the founders of what is now known as Hingham, in metro Boston, in 1633. In 1916, Reginald and his parents were affiliated with the Methodists, and in 1933 was self-employed as a violin teacher, and in 1940 in "evangelistic musical services" based in Oakland, California, while residing in Chicago, Illinois. He was later a member of The Gideons ministry in Westlock, AB.
