Fox family

Fred was a lifelong resident of Hayesville, and the founder of AGH. In 1950, two of his children (Elizabeth & Stanley) resided in Hayesville, and Joseph was in Alliance. He had three brothers: George of Mansfield, and Homer & Leo of Akron.

Husband (1941 @ Ashland, OH): Samuel Morrison Justice (b. 1912 Canfield, Mahoning, OH - d. 2004 Mansfield, OH), son of Emmet James Justice (b. 1884 Green Twp., Mahoning, OH - d. 1960 Mahoning Co., OH) & Lilly Blosser Justice (b. 1887 Beaver Twp., Mahoning, OH - d. 1962 Cleveland, Cuyahoga, OH). Prior to marriage in 1941, Samuel was employed as a "minister" of "Danville Brethren Church" and "Hayesville Grace Gospel" for many years, residing in Danville, OH and was also a member of the Gideons. G.L. Kettering officiated their wedding, of New London, OH. Lilly Justice's father was Joel Detweiler Blosser (1852-1921 Beaver Twp., Mahoning, OH) who was Mennonite from 1891-1921, as a Welcome Detweiler was a well-known open brethren preacher in the 1940's in Durham, North Carolina, originally from Pennsylvania.
    • Joseph Wallace Fox (b. 1916 Ashland, OH - d. 2005 Indianapolis, Boone, IN). Wife (1942 @ Silver Spring, MD: Margaret Elizabeth Lyon Fox (b. 1919 Washington D.C. - d. 2013 Zionsville, Boone, IN), daughter of Rev. Thoburn Cassady "T.C." Lyon (b. 1896 Washington D.C. - d. 1974 Woodstock, Shenandoah, VA) & Laura "Lillie" Maude Ritenour Lyon (b. 1894 Stonewall, Rockingham, VA - d. 1981 Woodstock, VA). In +1939-1941+, T.C. Lyon was employed with the USC&GS (1807-1970) at the Commerce Building in D.C., which was the first scientific agency of the U.S. Government. While there, he was the co-author of Practical Air Navigation and the use of aeronautical charts. Previously in 1930, he was a cartographer for Rand McNally while residing in Addison, Chicago metro, Illinois. In 1936, T.C. was also a preacher at Washington City Church of the Brethren, a member of an Anabaptist denomination known as the Church of the Brethren (no relation historically to the PB). Joseph graduated from Ashland College, which is associated with another non-PB Anabaptist group known as the Dunkers (aka German Baptists or Schwarzeanu Brethren) and was employed in 1950 as a chemist for a research lab in Gary, Indiana with intent on staying there. Margaret attended Wilson Teachers' College in Washington D.C., and also attended what is now Ashland University (then Ashland College). In 1941, she was a teacher at Kensington Junior High School in Kensington, Montgomery, Maryland.
    • Stanley Lee Fox (b. 1925 - d. 2012 Galena, Delaware, OH). Wife: Janet Louise King Fox (b. 1922 - d. 2016 Marion, Grant, IN), daughter of Rev. Lester Vernon King (b. 1894 Orrville, Green Twp., Wayne, OH - d. 1989 Goshen, OH) & Bessie Jane Humphrey King (b. 1891 Madison, Hancock, OH - d. 1975 Goshen, Elkhart, IN). In 1930, Lester resided in New Lebanon, Montgomery, OH and was pastoring First Brethren, probably New Lebanon Brethren, either CotB or Schwarzeanu Anabaptists.
