Ifill family

+1946-life @ 84 Hancock St. Misspelled "Eifel" in the 1946 KLC LoG. Samuel immigrated via Havana July 28 - Aug. 1st, 1922 on the USS Orizaba, which was used during both world wars as a Navy transport ship. Samuel was employed as a carpenter. He was residing in Brooklyn by 1926, and applied for naturalization in 1928.

Ruby's other husbands were Bishop Clyde Oram Hardgrow (b. 1912 W.V. - d. 1983 Columbus, OH), son of William "Bill" R. Hardgrow (b. 1874 Campbell Co., VA - d. 1948 Gallipolis, Gallia, OH) & Mary Ann Hight Hardgrow (b. 1867 VA - d. 1939 Gallipolis, OH). In 1948, Clyde was in leadership with the AME Zion Church of Ridgewood, NJ.

Taylor family

Tilton family

Theodore Tilton was a civil rights activist. He and Elizabeth were both members of Plymouth Church until a highly publicized scandal between Elizabeth with Henry Ward Beecher, the pastor who married them, and she was excommunicated in 1878, and later joined the PB. Her memorial service was officiated by Malachi Taylor.
