(b. 1877 McKnightstown, Adams, PA - d. 1956 Southwest Greensburg, Westmoreland, PA), son of Abraham Hershey (b. 1842 Cumberland Twp., Adams, PA - d. 1917 New Oxford, Adams, PA) & Hosannah "Hosie" Magdalena Eyster Hershey (b. 1850 Menallen Twp., Adams (now Fayette), PA - d. 1935 Mummasburg, Adams, PA. Samuel had a variety of occupations. In 1900, he resided with his parents in Highland, Adams, PA and was employed as a teacher. In 1910, he resided with his wife and eldest daughter at 534 Oakland Ave., Southwest Greensburg, and was employed as a clerk in a freight office. In 1920, residing at the same location, he was managing a valve works. By 1930, he resided at 503 Welty St., which is the address listed in the undated assembly address book, and he was employed as a bank teller throughout that time 1930-1950. Interesting to the editor to note that in 1935, Samuel's brother J. Willard Hershey resided in McPherson, KS.
- Louise Ellen Bowden Hershey (b. 1880 Audley, Staffordshire, England - d. 1945 Greensburg, PA), daughter of Charles Absalom Bowden (b. 1846 Broadclist, Devon, Eng. - d. 1923 Trauger, Westmoreland, PA) & Frances Amelia Lowton Bowden (b. 1840 Heavitree, Devon, Eng. - d. 1933 Harwood, Westmoreland, PA). In 1881, Charles Bowden was employed as an locomotive engineer.
- Sarah Louise Hershey (b. 1909 Greensburg, PA - d. 1984 Asheville, NC). Sarah graduated from Pittsburgh Musical Institute which is notable for being an early school that trained many African-American jazz legends. Also see an article on the school from the Pittsburgh Jazz Network. Sarah was a piano instructor in Pgh., +1930-1940+, then by 1950 as an executive secretary for Robertshaw Controls Co. which produces thermostats, retiring in 1975 to Hendersonville, NC where she was in fellowship with the First Presby.

Charles was employed 1937-1952 as a platen press operator at Westinghouse. Melrose was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran of Forest Hills, and a retired employee of JC Penney of Monroeville.
- Laverne G. Hite +1936 (1925-1936 North Braddock, PA) died of septic meningitis (blood poisoning) after a sliver of Christmas hard candy lacerated his upper lip. He was a student at the Brinton Public School, and a choir boy at the Gospel Hall, as per his obit.

- Genetta Odelia Brady McCullough ? (b. 1901 PA). In 1920, Genetta was employed as a clerk in a department store.
- Doris May McCullough Rager-Porzucek (b. 1929 East Pittsburgh, PA - d. 2003 Irwin, Westmoreland, PA). 1st husband (1947-2010): Robert J. Rager (b. 1926 Spangler, PA - d. 2010 North Haledon, NJ). Robert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII & the Korean War. He was branch manager of the New Jersey Bank of Haledon, and a purchasing agent with Total Office in Hawthorne. He was also a member of St. Paul's RC in Prospect Park.

William Campbell O'Neil +1941-1976+ (b. 1909 McKeesport, Allegheny, PA - d. 1992 Pgh., PA), son of Joseph Denny O'Neil, Sr. (b. 1866 Elizabeth, Allegheny, PA - d. 1925 St. Petersburg, Pinellas, FL) & Lillian "Lulu" Campbell O'Neil (1869-1956 McKeesport, PA). William studied at Lawrenceville School (NJ), Princeton & Harvard and was employed as an attorney, including as a senior partner in Thorp, Reed & Armstrong, which in 2013 was the eighth largest law firm in Pittsburgh, now a subsidiary of Detroit-based Clark Hill, the 159th highest grossing law firm in the world, and #78 in the U.S., as per Law.com. William attained the rank of lieutenant in the U.S. Navy during WWII. As per his obit, he was a trustee emeritus of Shadyside Hospital, and a director of the Pittsburgh & Ohio Valley Railroad. +1941-1976 @ 826 Punta Gorda, East McKeesport. William was a correspondent +1941-1976+ at EPGH, then a trustee, elder and deacon of Shadyside Presbyterian.
- Eleanor "Polly" Howe Jordan O'Neil +1941-1976+ (b. 1914 Boston, Suffolk, MA - d. 1998 Hockessin, New Castle, DE), daughter of Sydney Victor Jordan (b. 1884 Canada; emig. 1904; d. 1948 Fairport, Monroe, NY) & Ruth F./T. Elliot Jordan (b. 1884 Boston, MA - d. 1976 Beford, Mid., MA). Ruth was a daughter of George T. Elliot (b. 1852 Franklin, Merrimack, NH - d. 1907 Salisbury, NH), employed in 1880 in Quincy as a "public singer" (sic?), then in 1900 as a prospector. Sydney Jordan's memorial was officiated by Dr. Robert Burrell Marr (b. 1918 Cambridge, Mid., MA - d. 2013 Norfolk, VA), employed in 1940 at Mount Hermon School founded by Dwight Lyman Moody.
