Nobutara was self-employed in the early 1940's as a landscape gardener. During WWII, the Akagi family were forcibly incarcerated two months Pearl Harbor at the Abraham Relocation Center, an American concentration camp near Delta, Millard, Utah. 120k Japanese-Americans (and also Japanese immigrants) from the West Coast were incarcerated here.
