    • nicknamed "Aunt Cherry" for cherry trees in her yard that the Harman boys liked to pick when visiting her. She resided awhile in Mission, BC.

Anstey family

Harry Victor Anstey emigrated from England in 1909, registered as CoE in 1921, self-employed as a farmer +1916-1921+. His wife Edith Pleasance Anstey emigrated in 1911, registered as PB in 1921, although the entire family was Anglican in 1916. In 1931, Edythe was PB, her husband and three children were still Anglican, and still in Pembina, Manitoba.

John was a veteran of three wars, including the Egyptian campaign of the British Army, for which he earned the "prized" Egyptian Star; He also served with the British forces in the Boer War, and with the 10th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force during WWI. After the War, he joined the post office, retiring in 1930. George Turpin officiated his memorial. His son Henry "Andy" Roots was a well-known soccer player in Vancouver in the 1920's.

Coleman family

The Charles Coleman family was PB as early as 1916, emigrating in 1913 from England to Regina, SK. In 1911, Charles was residing with his family in Leytonstone, Essex, England, working as a commercial clerk for a wood merchant. In 1916, in Regina he was employed as a bookkeeper. In 1921, he was a clerk in a department store there, and the family was registered Presby., and in 1931 with the CoE, and residing in Vancouver. Unknown whether Charles or Mary ever returned to the PB.

In 1871, when Abner & Margaret were married in Nelson, Halton, ON, Abner was Baptist and Margaret was Methodist. The wedding was witnessed by C.W. Crooker & Charles Harper, both of Wellington, Ontario. The Elms family was PB by 1891, living in Hamilton, ON. Abner was a son of William Elms (b. 1808/1810 Abinger, Surrey, Eng. - d. 1887 Dorking, Surrey, Eng.) & Caroline Hersey Elms (b. 1814 Shere, Surrey, Eng. - d. 1876 Dorking, Eng.), and employed in 1891 as a bricklayer. Fleck family

Alexander initially settled in Hamilton before arriving in Vancouver by 1921, as per his obit. Unknown if he was related to James Fleck with the meeting room in 1923 at Toronto. Alex was employed as a house painter. He was in fellowship with the meeting room in Hamilton by 1891, and immigrated from Scotland in 1881, possibly PB back in the old country.

Harman family

Albert was stationed in Vancouver in the early days of WWII, and his family relocated there in 1941, only for him to be almost immediately transferred back to Winnipeg, Manitoba, but his wife and children stayed there until 1944 when they returned as well. There was no assembly when the Harman family arrived in Vanc., due to the McDowell division that had claimed most of the families with them until 1968 when they returned to the TW's. In the early 1940's, the Harman family home hosted a few ladies that attended to remember the Lord with them.
